About

Hi, I'm Myrtle. Funny name for the dad of two kids, I know. It's actually my last name. Blame high school PE for getting that started.

I'm the CEE (Chief Executive Everything) around here. I designed this site, built it, and I maintain it.

I grew up near a family where the dad was always working on cars. People gave him their old beaters they didn't want any more. The AMC Pacer, the Chevy Citation, the Ford LTD, the original Hyundai Excel. A bunch of cars I later saw in a book called "Crap Cars." If the price was right, he wasn't picky. Then he'd spend his weekends in the garage making sure those things ran.

I'm kind of like that too. But instead of old cars, I collect free electronic junk. Old computer parts, stereo equipment, cameras. I'll salvage anything I can make useful. My wife calls it a compulsion.

A few months ago I was driving around with my kids when we spotted a TV someone had left on the street. We grabbed it, brought it to the garage, and plugged it in. It worked perfectly fine. I splurged on a digital antenna and we were set.

People stress about all sorts of things these days. Me, I'm just happy to watch the O'Reilly series with my kids every Saturday.

Did you know you could do that for free? Do you know what CW channel is in your local market? It took me a while to figure out, and I kept bouncing between websites every weekend trying to piece together the NASCAR race schedule. So I built isitontv.com.

If just one person uses this week's schedule to pull the family together and watch racing this weekend, then from this CEE's perspective, building this site on a salvaged computer was worth it.
